About Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Incorporated in 1890, Oklahoma City is the most populated city in the state and ranks as the 29th largest city in the U.S. today, with nearly 550,000 residents. Visitors and locals enjoy an abundance of attractions, sporting events and shopping in Oklahoma City. The largest shopping and entertainment attraction is known as Bricktown. Bricktown is home to the Ford Center, AT&T Bricktown Ballpark, Coca-Cola Bricktown Events Center, Cox Convention Center, Harkins Theatre and much more.  At the Ford Center, catch a basketball game with Oklahoma’s own pro team, The Thunder or enjoy a live concert and other special events offered throughout the year.

Good entertainment and food go hand in hand, so of course Bricktown is home to many of Oklahoma City’s best restaurants. A legendary stop for any country enthusiast is Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar and Grill”—enjoy live entertainment and a plate full of Cowboy eats. Other favorites include Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse, In The Raw and Chelino’s Mexican Restaurant.

Other popular attractions can be found at Oklahoma City’s Adventure District including the racetrack at Remington Park, the Oklahoma City Zoo and the Science Museum. At the Science Museum visitors can enjoy a film in the Dome Theater, gaze at the night’s sky in the Planetarium or explore the hands-on exhibits and play stations for scientific discovery.
