Bricktown: Oklahoma City's premier hot spot for dining and entertainment



Located in the heart of Oklahoma City, Bricktown features richly historic red brick architecture that is home to many amazing restaurants, entertainment venues, museums, shopping and complete with a river canal running through it where you can enjoy a ride aboard the Bricktown Water Taxi or take a stroll on the riverwalk. After a massive restoration effort in 1993, Bricktown has been restored to a better than ever state and now serves as a highly sought after destination for locals and tourists alike.

Some of the major event venues in Bricktown include the AT&T Bricktown Ballpark, Cox Business Services Convention Center, Civic Center Music Hall, Ford Center Arena and the Coca-Cola Events Center. The Ford Center Arena is home to Oklahoma City’s own NBA team, the Thunder.

Other entertainment options in Bricktown include catching a flick at the Harkins Theater, or knocking down a few pins at the RedPin Bowling Lounge. Destination shopping is another great way to spend some time at Bricktown, Bass Pro Shop has all of the outdoors sporting goods you can imagine while Bricktown Candy Company has you covered on the sweet treats. Visit Put A Cork In It to pick up your favorite wines, enjoy free wine tasting and have specialty wine labels made for your next special event.

For a bit of American history, check out the American Banjo Museum—explore a collection of more than 300 banjos, films, videos and memorabilia spanning from the 1600s to the 1930s. Or, visit the Red Earth Museum where you’ll find a collection of fine art, pottery, jewelry and beadwork made by Native American artists. Then, get in touch with the zen of nature at the Myriad Botanical Gardens—home to 17 acres of paradise including gardens, trees, lakes, waterfalls and exotic animals.

Bricktown is the ultimate dining destination for everything from a quick bite on the go to upscale dining and from hometown barbeque to the nightclub scene. A few of the noteworthy restaurants to check out include Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill—offering a full menu of cowboy grub for lunch and dinner and Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse—enjoy the memories of a legend through memorabilia and good eats. Or, enjoy an award winning beer at the Bricktown Brewery and join the fiesta at Abuelo’s Mexican Food. For great seafood visit Pearl’s Crabtown and In The Raw Sushi.

No matter what you’re looking for, chances are Bricktown has something to offer to make your visit to downtown Oklahoma City memorable.
