Frontier City: Explore the fun and thrills of the Wild West
May 5, 2010
Frontier City offers Wild West style fun with more than 50 thrilling rides and attractions to explore and live entertainment to enjoy. There is something exciting for everyone at Frontier City, take a ride on the Steel Lasso—let your feet dangle as you soar over the frontier on this family friendly coaster. Or, check out the Prairie Schooner—a pirate ship that flies back and forth. There is also an entire area of rides just for the little tykes in your group including bumper boats, airplanes, tea cups, carousel and a pony ride.
For the thrill seekers, Frontier City has a slew of fast flying rides! The Silver Bullet takes off like a shot from a cannon as you rocket through the steel looping coaster. Then hold onto your seat as the Diamond Back barrels down the track -- just when you think it’s over, you’ll be thrust backwards to experience the adventure all over again in reverse!
Cool things down a bit with Frontier City’s water adventures. Take the plunge into a river of cool water on the Mystery River Log Flume or ride the wild twists and turns on the Renegade Rapids. Both rides are guaranteed to cool you down with some super soaking fun.
The live entertainment is definitely a hit at Frontier City and all shows are free with a paid park admission. You’ll be on the edge of your seat watching the Wild West Gunfight Stunt Show. Then, catch some tricks at the "It’s Magic" show. After that "The Rainmaker" will grace the stage. Other live entertainment includes the "Bob the Builder" live interactive show and a summer concert series. The concert series includes performances by Pat Green (5/22) and Diana Reyes (5/30). In July, catch The Charlie Daniels Band (7/3) and Ted Nugent (7/10).
If you’re looking for that perfect souvenir, head over to Mathew Brandy’s Old Time Photography and take a portrait of the whole family in a Wild West scene. There is also a candy store and general store where you can shop for something sweet and special.
As a special season deal, enjoy both Frontier City and White Water Bay with a Double?Park Season Pass on sale for $70. Double-Park Passes and Single-Park passes are available for purchase at Frontier City’s main office, located at the Frontier City front gate or online.
